Match Delivery to Consulting  hierarchy in Infosys

Operations Executive -> Systems Engineer-> Senior Systems Engineer-> Technical Analyst-> Technical Lead-> Technical Architect/Project Manager-> Senior Technical Architect/SPM-> Principal Consultant/GPM. 

The variation could be understood if we take a look at different streams at Infosys.

What is job level 6 in Infosys?

This is the mid management level in Infosys.

In delivery, following roles are mapped to JL 6:

  1. Project Manager
  2. Senior Project Manager
  3. Group Project Manager

In Consultancy, following roles fall under job level 6:

  1. Lead Consultant
  2. Principal Consultant

In technical stream, following roles fall under JL6:

  1. Lead Architect
  2. Senior Architect

Note: there are sub levels in JL6 and these are mapped to different sub levels.


Consulting hierarchy at Infosys 

Consultants are either MBA graduates or Engineering freshers that are given re-skill training in any functional area.

The road map of consulting is as below:

  1. Systems Engineer Trainee (Technical stream, Engineering grads)
  2. Systems Engineer JL-3B (Technical stream)
  3. Associate Business Analyst JL-3A (Functional stream)
  4. Associate Consultant JL-4B (MBA Grads join at this level)
  5. Senior Associate Consultant JL-4A
  6. Consultant JL-5B
  7. Senior Consultant JL-5A
  8. Lead Consultant JL-6B
  9. Principal Consultant JL-6A
  10. Industry Principal JJL-7

Test Executive -> Senior Test Executive->Test Engineer-> Test Analyst-> Test Lead or Technical Test Lead->Project Manager and so on
