Mahatma Gandhi considered John Ruskin as his other mentor. Hence he relished reading "Unto this last," written by John Ruskin.
Mahatma Gandhi is also paraphrased Unto this Last in Gujarati language, it is titled Sarvodaya.
Many of these books are appended to the appendix of Hind Swaraj. Therefore it is easily evident that Mahatma Gandhi has read each of these books.
Yet, another mentor Shrimad Rajchandra. Mahatma Gandhi has read his books too, Atmasiddhi Shastra which Gandhiji read in 1922 is one of Raichand Bhai's creations.

Mahatma Gandhi usually used to read a book once. This is evident in his remarks about Ram Charcha by Munshi Premchand. In a letter, Gandhi wrote that "it is not wrong to read a book twice". Hence it can be noted that Mahatma Gandhi did not often revise what he read.
Did Mahatma Gandhi read any children's books?
It can be proven that Mahatma Gandhi used to read children's books too. As it is mentioned that Mahatma Gandhi has read Aesop's fables. Mahatma Gandhi read those children's books from which he could draw morals.
"The list of titles..." chapter of bibliography of books read by Mahatma Gandhi, repeats many books from the chronological list's chapters.
"Appendix 2" shares the books that Mahatma Gandhi had in his library to read. Mahatma Gandhi owned these books.
The surprising thing about this list is that this list excludes all the books that were mentioned previously in the "chronological lists" and "the list of titles" etc. in the book. So these are the new books that are different from the previous lists of books.
Gandhi did not have an extra Dhoti to wear but had innumerable numbers of books in his collection. What a voracious reader he was!
Amidst these innumerable books, I found a book named Hand Weaving by Luther Hooper in Gandhi's reading list. And, I am going to read that.
