By implementing structured data markup on your Blogspot website, you can enhance your presence on Google Discover and increase your chances of being featured. 

Structured data markup or schema can provide search engines with information about the type of content, author, publishing date, and other relevant details.

Does blogger provide automatic schema?

BlogPosting schema: This schema is inserted automatically by Blogger. It is critical for the SEO of your blog. Keep it, unless you want your blog to not be easily crawlable/readable by Google and other bots.

How to know if my website is already following a schema?

There are multiple ways to find out if your website is using a particular type of schema. You should try schema.org, schema verification from Google developers or an extension to Google Chrome by MarketingSyrup.

Which schema is the best?

It is specific to the particular needs to determine which schema is the best. For this type of post FAQ schema would be best. 

Sometimes authors write about food recipes then the food recipe schema would be better. In that case, you need to use the actual size of the image for creating the schema. 

It is advisable to use images of around 1200 pixels for image type schema. Also, remember to put the image URL while creating the schema.

Can I customise the blogger schema? What are the steps?

  1. Yes, you can. I will show you how. Go to any of the schema generator sites, for example, Merkle or Rank Ranger. 
  2. Choose the suitable type of schema: FAQ schema in this case
  3. Enter the details: questions and answers as shown

  4. Copy the code as shown below

Can I use more than 1 schema on a webpage?

Yes, you can use it. I showed you just now how to use external schema with the HTML in Blogspot. 

But, do not try to use the similar Schema with different parameters. For example, refrain from creating BlogPosting schema again, as by default Blogger creates BlogPosting schema for you.

Here you can see, after verifying the website from Google developers for the schema, there are two kinds of schema, one is a blog post and another is a FAQ on this web page.
